Elementary School

Elementary (Kindergarten - 5th Grade)
At Saint David Catholic School, our elementary program provides a faith-centered, academically rigorous education that develops the whole child spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally. A strong STREAM foundation (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Art, and Math) equips students with the skills to think critically, solve problems, collaborate, and engage with real-world challenges, preparing them to be 21st-century learners.
Students benefit from a comprehensive academic program that integrates a variety of research-based curricula. Our literacy-first approach includes HMH Reading, Grammar, and Writing as well as the Heggerty Phonics Program.
Mathematics instruction uses the Carnegie Math Series, which employs a hands-on approach allowing students to manipulate concepts and actively engage with the objectives being taught. Science instruction incorporates HMH Science along with hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences to spark curiosity and exploration.

In addition to the core academic subjects of religion, math, reading, language arts, social studies, and science, elementary students participate in enriching specials including Spanish, library/media, technology, physical education, art, and music. These programs enhance creativity, critical thinking, and cultural awareness while supporting the development of a well-rounded learner.
Through this intentional combination of faith, STREAM-focused experiences, research-based curriculum, and co-curricular enrichment, Saint David Catholic School fosters confident, curious, and capable students who are prepared to thrive in middle school and in future challenges.
