Learning & Intervention (Pre - Kindergarten 3 - 8th Grade)
At Saint David Catholic School, we believe that every child is uniquely created in the image and likeness of God and entrusted to our care to be nurtured, encouraged, and supported. Guided by the Church’s mission to form the whole person, we strive to meet each student’s academic, emotional, and spiritual needs with compassion and purpose. As Pope Francis reminds us, “Education is an act of hope… one that gives birth to new seeds for the future.” Inspired by this vision, our learning and intervention programs help students grow in confidence, develop their God-given abilities, and flourish in both faith and academics.
We offer specialized support in reading and mathematics through push-in services and small-group instruction, ensuring students receive individualized, targeted guidance while remaining fully included in the classroom community. This approach reinforces the Catholic understanding that learning is relational, collaborative, and strengthened through belonging. Title I services—provided through Broward County Public Schools via Catapult Learning—offer additional support for qualifying students who benefit from more personalized assistance.
For students seeking additional challenge and enrichment, Saint David Catholic School offers opportunities that allow learners to deepen their curiosity and expand their potential. Students in grades 3 through 5 may participate in enrichment pathways, while 8th-grade students ready for advanced rigor may take Advanced Algebra, preparing them for higher-level math in high school. These programs encourage students to pursue excellence, develop higher-order thinking skills, and engage in meaningful learning that helps them recognize and steward the gifts God has placed within them.
